Your itinerary
Arrive at Launceston Airport, where your group will be welcomed for the journey to Barnbougle on Tasmania’s north-east coast. As the landscape opens towards Bass Strait, you’ll get your first glimpse of the coastal setting that makes this part of Tasmania such a memorable golf destination.
Your first round is at Barnbougle Dunes. Its fairways follow the natural contours of the dunes, with ocean views, firm ground and changing winds influencing the way each hole plays. It is a course that rewards thoughtful shot selection and creativity, while remaining enjoyable for golfers with a range of handicaps.
After the round, take time to enjoy Barnbougle’s surroundings and settle into your accommodation. Your confirmed itinerary will set out the evening’s dining arrangements; meals included in the Pinnacle package are listed in the package details above.
Today you’ll play Barnbougle Lost Farm, a 20-hole links course set among the steeper dunes beside Bass Strait. Although it sits close to The Dunes, Lost Farm has its own character. The shifting coastal wind, varied terrain and different playing angles give your group a fresh challenge after yesterday’s round.
Take time to enjoy the views across the course and coastline before travelling towards Launceston. Your journey may include a Tamar Valley wine stop, depending on the confirmed itinerary and cellar door availability.
In Launceston, settle into your planned premium twin-share accommodation at The Sebel Launceston, subject to availability. The evening is yours to enjoy in the city.
Pinnacle guests have dinner included as shown in the package details; dinner is not included in the Core package.
Today the tour heads into north-west Tasmania for a change of pace between golf rounds. The region is known for its farmland, coastal scenery and local producers, giving your group a chance to experience more of the island beyond the fairways.
The planned route includes Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm near Deloraine and House of Anvers, where Tasmanian chocolate is made. Continue towards Devonport and the coast before visiting Ghost Rock Wines. Its cellar door looks across the vineyards towards Bass Strait, making it a memorable setting for wine and local food.
The day may also include a stop at Ashgrove Cheese to discover another of the region’s producers before returning to your accommodation. Stops and dining venues are subject to opening hours and your confirmed itinerary. Meals and tastings included in your booking depend on whether you choose the Core or Pinnacle package.
Leave Launceston and travel through Tasmania’s Central Highlands to Bothwell, home of Ratho Farm. The journey brings a different side of Tasmania into view, with open countryside replacing the coastal dunes of your first two golf days.
At Ratho Farm, play a round on Australia’s oldest golf course. Its history dates back to the 1820s, and the layout offers a distinctly different experience from Barnbougle: open fairways, traditional features and the River Clyde winding through the property. It is a chance to enjoy the game in a setting closely connected to the beginnings of Australian golf.
After your round, take time to explore Ratho Farm and settle into your planned accommodation in the Bothwell area. Your confirmed itinerary will detail the evening’s dining arrangements, with included meals determined by your Core or Pinnacle package.
After your stay in Bothwell, travel north through Tasmania’s historic Midlands. Stop in Ross to explore its tree-lined streets, sandstone buildings and the Ross Bridge before continuing towards Launceston. It’s a relaxed day that brings together the island’s history, countryside and cool-climate wines.
The planned wine touring includes Josef Chromy Wines at Relbia, where the cellar door overlooks the vineyard and lake. There may also be time for another selected winery, depending on opening hours and your confirmed itinerary. Enjoy the opportunity to taste local wines and take in the scenery before returning to Launceston.
Settle into your planned premium twin-share accommodation for the night. Your confirmed itinerary will specify the dining arrangements; included meals and wine tastings depend on your Core or Pinnacle package.
Today your golf adventure moves from mainland Tasmania to King Island. Fly from Launceston across Bass Strait, then travel to Ocean Dunes for your first round on the island. King Island’s exposed coastline and changing weather bring a new character to the tour after Barnbougle and Ratho Farm.
Ocean Dunes follows rolling dunes along the island’s western coast. Its fairways, ocean views and risk-and-reward shots invite you to think carefully about each approach, while the wind can make the course play differently from one day to the next. Take time to enjoy the setting as you play your fourth round of the tour.
After golf, settle into your planned King Island accommodation and enjoy the evening. Your confirmed itinerary will specify the dining venue and arrangements; included meals depend on your Core or Pinnacle package.
Your final round is at Cape Wickham Golf Links on King Island’s north-west coast. The course runs through dramatic coastal terrain, with views of Bass Strait from every hole. Changing elevation, exposed fairways and carefully placed bunkers make it a fitting finish to seven days of varied Tasmanian golf.
Take time to enjoy the setting as you play, from the ocean beside the fairways to the Cape Wickham lighthouse nearby. It is a different challenge from Ocean Dunes and a memorable final round for your group.
After golf, gather your belongings and travel to the airport for the included flight from King Island to Melbourne. Pinnacle guests have breakfast included as part of their package; breakfast is not included in Core. Flight details and the day’s timing will be confirmed in your final itinerary.
